Volunteering since 1954

Emergency medical calls account for a growing number of ILVFD's responses every year. The ILVFD is dispatched on all high-priority medical calls within our fire district.  This includes but is not limited to cardiac arrests, chest pain and other life threatening injuries. Every ILVFD apparatus is equipped with basic medical equipment so that we may assist Lancaster County EMS or if necessary, begin care prior to their arrival.

The Indian Land Fire Department strives to provide excellent fire suppression services every single day of the year.  We achieve this by training our members to a high standard and equipping them with the appropriate tools.

The ILVFD operates a dedicated rescue truck for the purpose of being able to affect specialized rescues when called upon. This truck carries equipment for vehicle extrication & stabilization, low-angle rope rescue, minor hazardous incidents, firefighter rehabilitation and augmentation of firefighting efforts.
