Volunteering since 1954

The Indian Land Fire Department is a volunteer department that employs a staff of four firefighters on weekdays from 7AM-6PM. This staff is augmented by volunteers whenever the alarm sounds. The department is staffed entirely by its  volunteer members after hours and on weekends.

This dedicated group operates a fleet of fire apparatus including 2 engines, 1 rescue, 1 tanker, 1 brush unit and 1 quick response vehicle.

All members become certified firefighters while many become medical first responders and rescue technicians after their initial training. Department members keep up their skills with an intensive monthly training schedule.
